Wrinkle Relaxers

  • Dysport

Both Botox and Dysport are FDA-certified injections that use safe levels of Botulinum toxins to prevent, weaken, soften, and prevent deep lines on the skin’s surface. The most common applications of these wrinkle relaxers are on the forehead around the eyes and between the eyebrows to treat frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, and more. The procedure takes only 10 minutes and can begin to take effect in just 2-4 days. While comparable treatments, Dysport typically takes 1 week to reach full effect and Botox takes 2 weeks, but may last longer than Dysport.

 
 

Dermal Fillers

  • Juvéderm (Volbella, Vollure, Voluma, Ultra XC, Ultra Plus XC)

  • Restylane Injections (Refyne, Defyne, Lyft)

Dermal fillers, such as those offered by Juvéderm and Restylane, are injected just beneath the skin to fill out small to medium sized wrinkles and promote younger, healthier looking skin for 6-18 months after injection. Both fillers use hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring, clear, gel-like substance found in the skin and other tissues that can hold one thousand times its weight in water which is crucial in hydrating the skin. 

The primary difference between Restylane and Juvéderm is that Restylane stays in place, making it more suitable for areas that need more contouring and volume, while Juvéderm travels and flows after injection, making it more suitable for treating fine lines and wrinkles.
